སྒྲུབ་མཆོད་ཚོགས་ཐུན་གསུམ་པ་ལ་ཉེ་ཆར་གཙང་ལ་སྟོད་དིང་རི་རྫོང་དང་ལྷ་རྩེ་རྫོང་གཉིས་གཙོ་བོར་གྱུར་པའི་ས་ཁུལ་ཁག་ཏུ་རང་བྱུང་ས་གཡོས་ཀྱི་འཇིགས་་པ་དང་། ཨ་རིའི་ཀེ་ལི་ཧྥོར་ནི་ཡའི་ནང་གི་མེ་སྐྱོན་གྱི་གནོད་འཚེའབྱུང་བཞིན་པ་རྣམས་མྱུར་དུ་ཞི་བའི་སྨོན་ལམ་གསུང་འདོན་

The Gyalwang Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje, instructed that this ritual be offered at the 25th Kagyu Gunchoe. All those attending the Gunchoe, tulkus, khenpos, teachers and students are involved.
This ritual, the Five-Deity Green Tara of the Acacia Forest, originated with the First Karmapa, Dusum Khyenpa, and has been revived by the 17th Karmapa, who has worked extensively on the ritual. It is known as “five-deity” because five deities are represented here: Hayagriva, Chakrasamvara, Vajravarahi, Hevajra, and Tara, but one is taken as the principal deity. In this case, it is the ninth manifestation of Tara, Green Tara of the Acacia Forest. In total, there are five of these Five-Deity rituals; each one takes one of the five deities as the principal deity.
