In the first session of the debate competition today, two groups of monks debated against each other on the topic of Validity (Tsema), and in the second session two groups debated on the topic of Types of Evidence (Tarig). After the lunch break, there was a third session, from 2.00pm to 3.00pm, when the debate focused on Prajnaparamita (Pharchin). Each debate was timed against the clock, shown on the screen, and the two sets of adjudicators listened intently to the arguments presented.
