དེ་ནས་བློན་ཆེན་སྐུ་གཞོན་བཛྲ་བིདྱཱ་གཙུག་ལག་སློབ་གཉེར་ཁང་གི་མདུན་ཐང་གླིང་ཁའི་ནང་དུ་གདན་དྲངས། ཨ་ཤོ་ཀའི་རྡོ་རིང་གསར་དུ་བཙུགས་པ་དབུ་འབྱེད་བསྐྱངས། གསོལ་ཇ་དང་བཞེས་ཏོག་བསྟར། དེ་རྗེས་ཕྱིར་ཕེབས་མཛད།།
Today the schedule of debates was changed slightly to accommodate a visit by Sri Keshav Prasad Maurya, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, and his entourage. He was received by Khenpo Karma Gendun the Principal of Vajra Vidhya Institute, who presented him with a welcoming white khata and escorted him throughout the visit.
The Deputy Chief Minister met the assembled khenpos, teachers and students in the main shrine room at Vajra Vidhya. He offered khatas to the photos of His Holiness the Dala Lama, the Gyalwang Karmapa and Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche, before giving a short address. As a token of appreciation for the visit, Khenpo Karma Gendun presented him with a red silk shawl and a golden Buddha image. Members of the entourage also received khatas and small gifts.
Then, outside, in the grounds of Vajra Vidhya Institute, Sri Keshav Prasad Maurya inaugurated an impressive new feature —a replica Ashoka column.
After enjoying tea and snacks, the Deputy Minister departed.
